Build a Bear

Audrey received a Build a Bear gift card from her Grammy and Grandpa for her birthday a few months ago, and she went on a fun daddy-daughter date to redeem it. Here she is with the bear she picked out, chose outfits for, and got a birth certificate. She named it Pooh Bear, but now she's calling it Princess Bear.

He got a lot of fun toys, these two when he woke up.

Audrey helped me put the sprinkles on the cupcakes. Ian had no idea what to think of the candle, but he loved the singing.

And he really loved the cupcake. He inhaled it.

Who took the picture? Grammy! She has been with us for the past week, and it was so great to celebrate Ian's birthday together.

"I like this one!!" This awesome shirt he's wearing says, "Kiss me, I'm 1" in a shamrock. My amazingly talented best friend Beth made it for him. Yes, I said made. Ian is the cutest St. Patrick's baby ever, and I'm so grateful that he's mine.

Who doesn't love a fort?

I don't know why it took me so long to figure out that a fort is the key to keeping Ian happy, but at least I finally did.

I made a route for him to maximize climbing and minimize falling on his head. He loved it. Audrey has a bouncy ball in her cheek, in case you're wondering. Um, three years old and still puts stuff in her mouth??
