We spent the weekend with the Egers in Tallahassee. Once again, extremely relaxing, great company, and amazing food!

Oops--didn't think to get any Fourth clothing this year, but at least Ian is wearing the right colors.

Ian is 15 weeks now! He's really starting to get a personality, laughing and starting to play.

One of the things that makes these weekends so relaxing is that Audrey loves being there and has free rein to go anywhere, play in the cupboards, play with Meri's toys. We brought her recently purchased trike, and she learned how to ride it in their spacious home. I never had to entertain her, except supervising pool time. The good life.

Audrey and her noodle: She gets all around the pool with it, absolutely no help required or desired.

Besides being hostess and chef extraordinaire, Meri held Ian a lot. I felt overwhelmingly spoiled. Ian ate it up!

Our manly men, Robert and Mr. B, on the grill, cooking up a surf and turf Fourth dinner. Meri did the sauces for our shrimp and steak, and the dough for the grilled flatbread. She also made two divine salads. I ate enough for probably three people. I hope there's grilled flatbread in heaven.

Audrey enjoying our poolside dinner.

Sparklers after dark. To Mr. B's surprise, I let Audrey hold them. She did a great job being safe.
What a fun vacation! (Yes, I said vacation, not trip--miraculous!)
