Tender moment

Audrey was relaxing while I played with her hair and sang her songs. After singing "You are my Sunshine," she asked for it again. She had me sing it three times. I then asked, "Do you like that song?" Without hesitating she answered, "No." I had to laugh. Then she said, "Again!" and I sang it three or four more times. After the last time she said, "I lub you." Being a mom is great.

Loves to stylize

These pictures are from the past few weeks--more girliness showing through. This is her Halloween costume, given to us awhile ago by Audrey's cousin. Audrey has been very interested in cats since we stayed with the Egers for the Fourth, so I thought she might like dressing up as one. Yup. She wore this for hours, and has worn it occasionally since then too. She even meows.
Here's a classic example of Audrey's new habit--accessorizing. On her own, she added shoes, backpack, piggy, paper star craft, and phone to her outfit. She needed a little help putting her "pack-pack" on. Another example of Audrey's stylizing: I found this coat at a consignment shop, a little early in the season, but too cute to pass up. When I brought it home, Audrey latched right on to it and has worn it several times around the house. In this picture, she also added shoes and a hat to complete her outfit. By the way, it's almost 90 degrees outside...
