Seabrook vacation

We just got back from a fun and relaxing trip to Seabrook Island in South Carolina. My sister Laura came with us, which made the trip perfect. Plus she took a lot of great pictures, which I'll post soon. Here are some pictures from my camera:

Kids in action

This boy loves to eat. He made a face while trying green beans, but he still ate the whole container. He screams REALLY loud if you don't feed him fast enough.
Daddy got the kids some bubbles and bubble foam. They love it.
And below: Audrey and interpretive dance.

Yellow River Game Ranch

We had a lovely family outing to the Yellow River Game Ranch on Saturday, where we saw animals up close and got to feed them. There were a lot of babies, including this goat, which was smaller than a toaster. I embarrassed myself by oohing and aahing for probably three minutes. It was really cute though.
Audrey shocked us with her bravery. Usually any moving creature causes a panic attack, but she did alright, even helping to feed the fawns.
Too bad the picture is blurry: I love the expression on this donkey's face.
That's one ugly pig. It just stood in the middle of the path and stared. I had to run Audrey past; this guy did intimidate her.

DragonCon parade

Yesterday we went to the DragonCon parade in downtown Atlanta, where all the sci-fi and fantasy fans come out of hiding. It was awesome. Incredible costumes; so much fun!
The first thing we saw: Audrey was instantly terrified, and stayed nervous for the remainder of the parade. But she didn't cry or ask to leave, so it counts as a success! Frodo!
Famous people!! (Bo and Daisy Duke from Dukes of Hazzard) Spaceballs!
Drizella and Anastasia Monty Python, complete with coconuts! Slytherin Quidditch team SteampunkThis warrior asked to buy Ian (and Amber's baby), stating that these are desperate times and baby flesh is so tender. Creepy!! One of many awesome Star Trek costumes. Storm Troopers! Check out the little one. We have more fabulous pictures, but this post is getting long. Definitely a fun family day!

Another one down

After literally hundreds of hours, I finally finished Ian's stocking cross stitch. I'm taking it to my mom's in a few weeks where we'll transform this into a Christmas stocking. I need a long break from cross stitch, so no more babies for awhile! :)

ABCs

Audrey and I have been learning the alphabet over the past several months, and this week we finished! Now on to something new...eventually.

Halloween preview

Audrey has this dress from being a flower girl at Sam's wedding. I found a set of wings and halo, and voila, Halloween costume! Audrey will be an angel, and Ian will be a little devil. I might make a different halo for Audrey, if I get to it. She enjoyed flying around the house in her new look.

August

I'm not sure what happened to August; I hardly took any photos. The highlight of our month was a visit from Grandpa Brien, who spoiled these kids with attention and presents. It was so nice to have him here.
I love this outfit from Aunt Verneda. Then I ruined it in the laundry, washing it with a new blue towel (I'm a bit distracted, is that any kind of excuse?). I'm trying to get the blue streaks out...
Ian adores Audrey, especially when she's dancing and singing--it makes him giggle.
"Mommy, can I pump my boobies?" Um, okay, good luck with that.
Monkey see, monkey do.
Daddy and Ian, about to head to church.
