We moved to Surprise, Arizona, in July. Mr. B got a job as a professor at ASU in the school of public affairs, and so relocation was in order. It was a pretty stressful process, but the road trip there was actually not that bad. Especially since Mr. B's parents, Grammy and Grandpa, came with us. They drove our smaller car with Declan in the back, and Mr. B and I drove the minivan with Audrey and Ian in the back. I made a ticker with 12 destinations along the way that the kids could take off as we passed through or reached each one. It was a fun way to see how far we'd come and how much more we had ahead of us. I took pictures of the kids with each card as we ripped them off. I've included them here, and a picture of each of us when we rolled into Surprise (after 3 1/2 days of 30 driving hours!).
